Texas AG Launches Massive Probe Into 2024 Election Integrity

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is launching investigations into 33 noncitizens who allegedly voted in the 2024 election, according to his X profile.

These cases were referred to Paxton’s office by Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson and mark the latest step in the state’s effort to keep American elections free from foreign interference.

“Non-citizens must not be allowed to influence American elections, and I will use the full weight of my office to investigate all voter fraud,” Paxton said in a statement.

“To trust the integrity of our elections, the results must be decided by American citizens, not foreign nationals violating the law to cast a ballot.”

The referral was made possible through Texas’s access to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ SAVE database, which tracks immigration status.

Texas was able to use the system thanks to an executive order signed by President Trump that directed Homeland Security to share the database with states at no cost.

Paxton’s announcement comes at a time when questions about foreign interference are once again making headlines.

Just last week, the FBI turned over documents to Congress detailing an alleged Chinese plot to interfere in the 2020 election.

According to those documents, Chinese operatives planned to manufacture fake U.S. driver’s licenses to enable mail-in voter fraud.

Customs and Border Protection reportedly seized nearly 20,000 fake licenses during that time.

These developments give more weight to long-standing concerns raised by President Trump and other conservatives who questioned the fairness of recent elections.

Kash Patel, now leading the FBI, declassified the files and turned them over to Senator Chuck Grassley, who has been leading oversight on foreign election interference.

Meanwhile, other states are facing similar problems. In Michigan, a review released in April found that 15 non-citizens voted in the 2024 election.

However, that review only included voters with Michigan driver’s licenses.

Critics pointed out that the review excluded voters who registered using student IDs, out-of-state licenses, or other documentation, therefore leaving a major blind spot.

Another case in Michigan involved a Chinese foreign national studying at the University of Michigan.

He admitted to illegally registering and casting a ballot and now faces felony charges.

Despite earlier claims from Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson that noncitizen voting was rare and easily detected, this incident and others like it suggest that many illegal votes may be slipping through the cracks due to weak verification systems.

Paxton, who has long focused on election integrity, says he is committed to protecting Texas from similar vulnerabilities.

He recently announced criminal charges in a separate voter fraud case involving a vote harvesting scheme in Frio County.

While some politicians and media outlets downplay concerns about election fraud, these investigations show why strong safeguards are necessary.

If foreign nationals can find ways to vote, either through fake documents or weak ID checks, it raises serious concerns about the future of fair elections.

Paxton’s message is clear: only American citizens should decide American elections. Anything less is an open door to fraud.
