Feds Foil Bomb Plot Targeting Police Amid LA Anti-ICE Riots

Federal agents have arrested a man who allegedly planned to use explosives against law enforcement officers during the recent anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles, according to Fox News.

According to the Department of Justice, 48-year-old Grzegorz Vandenberg was taken into custody late last week after he purchased a large quantity of fireworks and told store employees he intended to use them to kill police officers and government officials.

Vandenberg, who claimed to be former military special forces, reportedly walked into a travel center in New Mexico and asked for fireworks that could be thrown at people to cause harm.

He went on to boast that he could make pipe bombs and said he was headed to Los Angeles to take part in the violent protests.

Store employees were alarmed by the conversation and notified authorities, even providing his license plate number.

Thanks to that tip, federal agents were able to intercept Vandenberg before he could carry out his plan.

The DOJ says he bought six mortar-style fireworks containing 60 grams of gunpowder each, along with 36 large fireworks.

Attorney General Pam Bondi praised the store staff for acting quickly and condemned Vandenberg’s intentions, saying, “This man allegedly intended to use the chaos of the LA riots as cover to commit deadly violence against law enforcement. These threats will not be tolerated.”

FBI Director Kash Patel added, “If you target police officers, we will find you and bring you to justice. That’s exactly what happened here.”

Vandenberg now faces federal charges for transporting explosives with intent to kill or injure. If convicted, he could serve up to 10 years in prison.

But this disturbing plot is just one piece of a much larger and more troubling situation in California.

Despite claims from the media and Democrat leaders that the LA riots were a reaction to immigration enforcement, recent reports show that the original law enforcement action was not about immigration at all.

According to White House Border Czar Tom Homan, the raid that sparked the unrest was part of a criminal conspiracy investigation involving money laundering, tax evasion, and customs fraud.

Authorities discovered one company had failed to declare $80 million in imports and owed $17 million in taxes. During the operation, agents arrested dozens of illegal aliens, including violent criminals such as murderers and sex offenders.

None of that stopped Democrat politicians like Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass from falsely portraying the operation as a politically motivated immigration raid.

Their misleading comments helped fuel public anger and gave cover to radical groups stirring up violence in the streets.

As Assemblyman Carl DeMaio recently revealed, the state of California has been funneling taxpayer money into organizations like the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA), which played a major role in organizing the protests.

DeMaio says $100 to $150 million has been handed out to dozens of far-left groups under the guise of COVID-19 relief programs.

Finance records show CHIRLA received $34 million in federal grants last year alone. That money helped fund coordinated protests that turned violent, endangering police officers and innocent bystanders alike.

While the mainstream media and progressive politicians try to spin these events as spontaneous outrage, the truth is much darker.

These riots were organized, funded, and protected by the same people who claim to support public safety.

If California leaders are serious about protecting their communities, they need to stop funding radical groups and start supporting law enforcement.

Americans deserve to live in cities where police officers are not targeted and where political lies do not put lives at risk.
