Milwaukee Community on High Alert After Child Abducted At Gunpoint in SUV

MILWAUKEE, WI - An Amber Alert has been issued by the Wisconsin Department of Justice for a seven-year-old boy, who police say was abducted at gunpoint in Milwaukee.

The child has been identified as Jamal White.

White was reportedly outside of his home in the area of 61st and Hustis in Milwaukee around 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 11th, when he was allegedly taken at gunpoint and placed into a white Jeep Renegade SUV with an unknown license plate, according to FOX6.

Police described White as four feet tall and weighing 80 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts.

There are few details about the suspect, who is described as a male, Black, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a black face mask.

He was reportedly armed with a handgun.

Anyone with any information regarding White or the incident is encouraged to call 911 or the Milwaukee Police District Four Station at 414-935-7242.

A woman, who said she is White's grandmother, posted on Facebook after the alleged abduction. "We are exhausted and haven't gotten any sleep," she wrote.

"We're still praying and asking the community to join us in prayer and stay alert. Please be on the lookout for this white Jeep Renegade. Every set of eyes helps," she added.
