BREAKING: President Trump announces US strikes against Iran’s nuclear sites in ‘very successful’ attack

President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that the US conducted a series of strikes on Iran's nuclear sites, including on Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.

Trump posted to Truth Social, "We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow."

"All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter."

The US appeared to be moving B-2 stealth bombers as well as refueling the aircraft in the Pacific ahead of the strikes, ABC News reported. Earlier this week, the president had said that he would be making a decision over next steps for the US in the Israel-Iran conflict within the next two weeks.

That timeframe was given to reporters at the White House on Thursday from White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who said, quoting Trump, "Based on the fact that there's a substantial chance of negotiations that may or may not take place with Iran in the near future, I will make my decision whether or not to go within the next two weeks."

Over the course of the last week, after conflict between Iran and Israel came to a head, the president had reiterated that Iran could not get ahold of nuclear weapons as he has done so before.
