The Abundant Life Christian School shooter has been identified as 15-year-old Natalie Lynn Rupnow. On Monday morning, Rupnow opened fire in the Madison, Wisconsin school’s library, killing one student and one teacher, and injuring six others. Two of those are in critical condition. The shooter was found dead upon arrival by authorities. Rupnow went by "Samantha" or abbreviations thereof online. Her identity was confirmed by Madison police chief Shon Barnes. Rupnow was a student at the Abundant Life Christian School.
When police arrived to the scene, they found Rupnow injured from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. She died while being transported to a local hospital. Rupnow opened fired during a stufy hall and it was a second-grade student who called 911 to bring officers to the school.
Rupnow used the names "Sam" and "Samantha" online, as well as the username "crossixir." Multiple photos of Rupnow featured the teen wearing a KMFDM t-shirt, a German industrial metal band referenced by one of the Columbine shooters. The identity of the shooter was first revealed on X by Andy Ngo.
Online friends of Rupnow identified an X account belonging to her, in which a photo was posted just minutes before the shooting. Police said they responded to the school shortly before 11 am local time, and a photo was posted to the account at 10:45 am showing a person in a bathroom stall showing the "OK" hand symbol.
An account on X called @PETR0GRAD claimed to have access to a Discord chat where Rupnow was detailing her mindset and plans. Later, it was revealed that this was part of an earlier draft of the manifesto.
The excerpt stated, "women are the only hope for this wretched world. But even women have been brainwashed by moids for too long theyve internalized the patriarchy and turned on each other, always begging for for male approval and validation. Its disgusting. I realize the truth men are iredeemable. radfem hitler was is f*cking vindicated now. They cant be reformed or redeemed. Theyre a f*cking scourge upon the earth. The only solution is to total exterminate them and every foid who worships these f*cking parasites. Every single male must be wiped out, from babies to the elderly. Only then can women be free to create a new world. ill be a pioneer, ill be the first to take the first step. i dont care if theyr fathers, brothers, husbands, sons, teachers, police, and especially n*ggers or politicians. ive been craving to kill them all. This is my mission. only when their parasitic sludge has been expunged from this earth is when Then the world will be clean and women can start over. It's the only way. in aproximatety 10 mintue si should be dead, its strange but it feels good."
Reduxx's Anna Slatz shared that she had a copy of the manifesto and that she would release it, claiming that she had been in touch with the shooter's boyfriend. Rupnow had a 6 page manifesto, Slatz reported, which was titled "War Against Humanity."
She posted screenshots of that manifesto. In it, the alleged shooter states that "Humanity is filth and I don't like filth nor want to live in it nor should anyone else and I know it follows me and how it has followed me and will follow everyone because of how the world is runned." She goes on to say that she doesn't trust her parents and that they are "scum" and that "there is nothing that will save them to make me think good of them Ever again."

Rupnow's username was also seen on a website titled "Watch People Die" in which she commented on videos of people killing themselves through various means. Rupnow also has a Tumblr account, which includes posts of the Columbine shooters as well as the main characters of the 2003 film Zero Day, a film based on the Columbine school shooting. She also made a post on her birthday showcasing pistols with the title "Happy birthday to me!!!" On Spotify, her playlists included one titled "Suicide" and another titled "Kill me wtf."
