The law enforcement agency has offered up a $50,000 reward for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the individual, according to Fox News. The suspect reportedly threw rocks at federal law enforcement vehicles on Saturday at around 3:30 pm local time, which led to damage to the federal vehicle and injured an officer involved.
The incident took place on Alondra Blvd in Paramount, California and the suspect is considered armed and dangerous. "If you assault a law enforcement officer, you’re going to jail—period," FBI Director Kash Patel said of the suspect.
"It doesn’t matter where you came from, how you got here, or what cause you claim to represent," he added. "If local jurisdictions won’t stand behind the men and women who wear the badge, the FBI will."
Over the weekend, anti-ICE riots and violence erupted in California as immigration authorities were preparing to take illegal immigrants into custody around the city. The chaos started on Friday evening and bled into the rest of the weekend, with Trump having to federalize the National Guard to tamp down the violence.
Patel also wrote on X about the riots, “Just so we are clear, this FBI needs no one’s permission to enforce the constitution. My responsibility is to the American people, not political punch lines. LA is under siege by marauding criminals, and we will restore law and order. I’m not asking you, I’m telling you.”
