Elon Musk has floated the idea of creating a "new political party" that he says will represent the 80 percent of Americans "in the middle" of politics with a poll. This comes after he and President Donald Trump traded jabs over the "Big Beautiful Bill" earlier on Thursday.
Musk posted the poll on X, writing, "Is it time to create a new political party in America that actually represents the 80% in the middle?" and leaving it as a yes or no answer.
As of early Thursday afternoon, the results of the poll showed around 84 percent of participants answering "yes," with about 16 percent of participants answering "no," and around 270,000 had participated in the poll so far which had over 2 million views.
