White House Confident China Will Want a Trade Deal; Race Lawsuit to Be Paused

In a White House press briefing, Karoline Levitt said President Donald Trump is waiting for Chinese leader Xi’s call to make a deal on tariffs. Beijing is increasing tariffs on U.S. imports from 84 percent to 125 percent in retaliation against the U.S. decision to hike China duties to a total of 145 percent.
