BREAKING: GOP Randy Fine wins Florida’s 6th district House race, filling seat left by Mike Waltz

After polls closed on Tuesday evening in Florida's special election in the 6th district, Republican Randy Fine beat out Democrat Josh Weil. With the win from Fine, the razor thin GOP House majority widens, giving some more breathing room for Republican lawmakers in Congress. 

The race between Fine and Weil was close going into the weekend, per The Hill. Fine will fill the seat left empty in the House of Representatives after Mike Waltz was appointed to be President Donald Trump's National Security Advisor.
