Representative Clay Higgins (R-LA) posted to X in response to the Supreme Court allowing the Biden administration to have Border Patrol cut down razor wire at the Texas border saying the president is "staging civil war."
In a post to X, Higgins wrote, "Media: ‘Congressman Higgins, the Supreme Court just ruled in favor of the Biden Admin over the State of Texas, saying that the federal government can remove physical barriers at the border put in place by Texas. What are your thoughts?’”
"Me: 'My thoughts are that the feds are staging a civil war, and Texas should stand their ground'" he continued in the hypothetical situation.
On Monday, the Supreme Court ruled that the Biden administration can allow Boder Patrol to cut down razor wire that was set up by Texas for added security amidst the ongoing border crisis.
The move is part of a months-long slog that the president and Texas have been engaged since ealier in 2023.
